What a great day!

Thank you all for coming to the Waterloo Coop Tour. We had over 100 people at some of our locations. Simply amazing.

Even the weather was great. Please share your stories below. We’re hoping to have pictures up soon.

    I just wanted to say thank you to everyone involved in the tour. It was really enjoyable and very nicely organized. I appreciated the placement of the signs leading to each home: they really helped. Each coop was so different and gave me lots of ideas. I was particularly impressed with all the hen-keeping kids: so knowledgeable about the chickens and their connection to the earth and garden. To me, that’s a great reason right there to keep hens. Their parents have given them a real gift.

    I hope some skeptics also participated in the tour because once you see how hens are kept, the usual concerns dissipate.

    I guess the next step toward legalization will be to see where returning and potential Council members stand and work from there. I really hope I can have hens one day too.
